Marry on a Merry Season with a Christmas Wedding DressOn March 23, 2020 by U.Hidayat
What could be more heartwarming season for a wedding than Christmas? Having such magical aura of a winter wonderland, you need not worry what you will set the aisle ablaze with. The snow is a magnificent backdrop for Christmas wedding dresses.
Raise some temperature with a long sleeved gown embroidered with lace or a sleeveless body-fitting mermaid dress, topped off with faux fur shrug or lace bolero. Cascading sleeves is also good choice to give you some freedom of movement for the dancing later. An A-line that is tight to the waist and flows to the bottom, topped with organza bolero could also be a stunner.
You can opt for floor-length, multilayered sheer tulle with a sparkling lace corset and ribbon sash if you want to a dreamy ambiance. If there is not too much sparkle on the bodice, a crystal sash or crystal encrusted strap is preferred. This ensemble would not fail to evoke a dramatic glamour as the snow around. For a Christmas gift-inspired dress, festoon your waist with an oversized bow. Additionally, an ivory white gown of any style will be perfect for the season if topped off with a long flowing velvet cape. Otherwise, accentuate your waist with a jewel-toned red or forest green silk sash.
Winter is a perfect time to get into a princess ball gown with sequins, oversized romantic ruffles and traditional long trail. Do not forget to add gloves to your ensemble; just take note to adjust your sleeve length relative to your glove’s length. You may wear a sparkling tiara and have crystal beads scattered throughout a silvery blue, or rich red bodice to make you stand out amidst a snow backdrop.
When planning a Christmas wedding, it is good to remember that white is not the only choice as your dress’ color. Do not to be afraid to embrace and add in your palette Christmas’s festive mood with green, red, silver and white, silver and light blue, or gold and cream. Most importantly, remember not to sacrifice comfort for style. Choose fabrics and dress styles that will keep you warm amidst the chilly weather.
